A day of sunshine and food.

What a beautiful day! Went to Croques for lunch and consumed this:

Which just looked so beautiful I had to take a picture of it. Then had a complete storm of a shopping session with Sophie. May it be said, that when it comes to shopping for occasions, me and that girl got it down to a T. Graduation outfit sourced, tried on, bought, Amen.

The rest of the day went by in a blur of sunshine, fruit and Cranberry & Blackcurrent Juice (new favourite thing). Then off to Pizza Express for tea, where five of us had to sit around a four person table, because there was nowhere else. And we asked for a jug of tap water. And to add insult to injury, had two "2 for 1" vouchers. Our waiter loved us.

Continuing the "we love a deal, us" theme, we then went to the cinema with a little help from that mo-bill phone company. Third time I've been to the cinema since last Wednesday - it's getting an addiction. Almost as much as another new favourite thing: Crispy M&Ms. (Don't tell my Ma, but I even ate the blue ones. Never let it be said that I don't know how to push boundaries.)

RAGE!

Hate. Website. Building. With. A. Passion.

Give up, Internet Explorer is a pile of poo. It destroys things that look nice on my Mac and Safari.

On a brighter note, today was a lovely day and I had an ice-cream in the park with my friends Sophie and Katie and read Heat and ate deformed strawberries.

Website Updates!

Site being updated as we speak. Finally figured Lightbox2 out! It's been a right buggeroonie. Check out the action as it happens. (I say 'action' in the loosest of terms. You'd probably see more pace from a tortoise-snail hybrid, but I'm getting there!)

Degree Show. Well that's that then.

So, the degree show at DMU ran from Friday 12th - Thursday 18th June. All in all, it was a good experience. 200 business-cards-down later, and I'm still waiting for an email, but that's beside the point. (Someone commission me please! Ha...) Above is a wee picture of my display. I took it down on Friday and was strangely quite sad about the whole thing. I also wished that it was as easy to put up as it was to dismantle. Harsh realities my dears, harsh realities.

Anyway, now I'm left in a bit of a void of knowing what I want to do, but not knowing the best way to go about it.

These are the things I want to do:
  • Blog more
  • Improve website
  • Take more photos
  • Keep drawing
  • Start making things for the market stall
  • Get some more freelance work
  • Write more lists
So, on the to-do list today is bloggedy blogging. Tick! And improve my website. Big, fat, tearful cross. It literally is that. Maybe not fat, but website constructing definitely makes me tearful and cross.

Updates to follow.

All things bright and beautiful

Bonjour. I've got so many things whirling around in my head at the moment, that I figured the best thing to do would to be to write them down. I find comfort in lists.

Events of the past few days have been many and varied. Here they are as I can remember them:

I went to the Peak District with two of my best girlies, where we stayed in a little cottage, ate more than I care to mention and laughed more than I dare to mention. Cream teas, sunshine, water fountains, BBQs, baths... a little bit of heaven on earth. I even bought a straw hat and wore shorts to maximize the holiday experience. One of my favourite quotes from the few days we were away comes from my dear friend Katie. She has a way with words. Unfortunately for her not always a good way, but it makes for hilarious hearing. This time, she was commenting on the delights of sunglasses: "People-watching in sunglasses is great. No-one can tell where your eyes go! I'm always thinking 'Mmmm, she looks nice...'" I should maybe point out that Katie has a boyfriend and doesn't find ladies attractive in that way, hence why it was so amusing. Maybe you had to be there.

In other news, I'm going to Lonnndonnn! Have been selected for the D&AD New Blood Exhibition, which is a bit exciting. Apparently, this year the show isn't going to be held in Earls Court, as it usually is, because Madonna wanted the venue! So instead we're at Olympia National Hall. Bloody Madonna.

Also am in the process of working on my website, designing cards/wrapping paper etc for a market stall and thinking about getting an agent, darling. Hopefully the start of some good times.

Anyway, drawings to come, work to do etc etc etc. But now I'm off for lunch to Croques, which is of far more importance. Melts and tea, hello.
